Herd of Elephants
Wild Rescue

En route to Wild Coast Tented Lodge from Ceylon Tea Trails, stop midway at the Udawalawe National Park, which cares for orphaned elephants – many of whom are calves.

Return to the Wild

The Elephant Transit Home (ETH) runs a successful rescue and rehabilitation program, providing care for orphaned elephant calves with minimal human contact, before returning them to the wild when they are ready.
