Cape Weligama, located on the South Coast of Sri Lanka and is influenced by the south- western monsoon from May – July. The real feel of a tropical island is felt. Cape Weligama’s clifftop perch make it a great “storm watching” location, especially during afternoon thunder showers.
We experience our best weather from late November through April. The seas are noticeable calmer and adopt an inviting turquoise hue. The calmer waters also allow for whale watching expeditions.
Temperatures range from around 28 – 36 C, although the southwest coast sees more humidity than Wild Coast Tented Lodge and Tea Trails.
