In this journal we’ll take you on a journey through this extraordinary 5-night, The Amazing Tea Trails Experience.

Nestled amidst the lush tea gardens, this idyllic retreat promised days of serenity and adventure. First day of this experience is dedicated to leisure, spend the rest of the day enjoying the fully inclusive package inclusions and the breathtaking bungalow surroundings.

For those inclined to explore, they can discover the enchanting landscape on bicycles that will be provided by their butler, or embark on a scenic  ‘marked’ walking trail.

As dawn breaks on the second day, an exciting experience awaits. Guests are invited to join a tea field and factory tour, hosted by a resident planter at the Dunkeld Tea Factory. Where they can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of tea production, from plucking the delicate leaves to the intricate processing that produces Ceylon’s finest brews.

Thereafter, a short hike will lead the guests to a scenic spot within the tea estate, where they can savour a one-of-a-kind planter’s tiffin lunch. Surrounded by the fragrance of tea leaves and the serenity of nature, it is a culinary experience like no other. 

The evening holds more surprises as they venture to another bungalow, where pre-dinner drinks await, followed by the Ceylon Tea Trails’ signature tea-infused dinner, a culinary journey that blends tradition with innovation.

Day three beckons with the promise of adventure in the embrace of nature. A half-day guided hiking trail, led by one of the resident naturalists. Each step is an opportunity to connect with the pristine surroundings and learn about the region’s unique flora and fauna.

Post-hike, guests will continue the journey to the Tientsin bungalow,where they can engage in a game of tennis. Afterward, immerse themselves in a private tea tasting masterclass led by the resident planter and wind down with an afternoon cream tea, surrounded by the beautifully curated lawns of Tientsin. 

Day four begins with a hearty breakfast, following a visit to the Child Development Centre operated by the MJF Charitable Foundation. Here, the guests can witness the heartwarming efforts to nurture and educate the children of Dilmah tea garden workers. The center’s facilities and dedicated staff work tirelessly to ensure the sound development of young minds.

In the afternoon, a different kind of educational adventure awaits. Travellers have the unique opportunity to visit the leopard conservation center, nestled in the Peak Ridge corridor above the Dunkeld Estate. Here, the team monitors and studies the elusive leopards’ behavior, ensuring their protection and the preservation of their natural habitat.

Day five promises a spectacular experience, a seaplane adventure to witness the surrounding hills and valleys from a different perspective. The highlight of the experience is the aerial view of the majestic Adam’s Peak, a sight that will be forever etched in memories. Optionally, the adrenaline junkies can experience ‘canyoning’ with qualified professionals along the canyons of the Kelani River.

On the sixth day, with the first light of day, guests will embark on a tranquil lake cruise, drifting along the serene waters of Castlereagh lake. The morning will be complemented by an indulgent breakfast, adorned with a touch of opulence, including a bottle of bubbly to add a dash of celebration to the day. 

Late morning, guests will bid farewell to their tea country retreat and set off to the next destination, carrying with them the wonderful memories from the Amazing Tea Trails Experience!
