While we always strive to be the best and our resplendent isle welcomes travellers once again, it is humbling to receive recognition from so many corners of the world.

The 2021 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards were announced in October. Registered voters from across the globe weighed in on their favourite hotels, resorts, countries, cities, islands, spas, trains, airlines, airports and cruises. Our three resorts, Cape Weligama on the southern coast of our island, Ceylon Tea Trails in the tea country and Wild Coast Tented Lodge bordering the Yala National Park were recognised amongst the Top 25 Resorts in Asia. Cape Weligama at #4, Ceylon Tea Trails at #8 and Wild Coast Tented Lodge at #21. The full list can be accessed here.

Our three resorts were also recently recognised amongst the 2022 Fodor’s Finest Hotels in Asia. For over 80 years, Fodor’s Travel has been a trusted resource offering expert travel advice for every stage of a traveler’s trip and we are delighted to have our hotels chosen amongst hundreds of others in this region. The results are a testament to the hard work of our ambassadors that shines through, and the faith in the designation and our resorts are stronger than ever.

The recognition during a time when travel stood still highlights the experiences readers around the world long for most, the memories created and cherished over the years. The tomorrow that we have been waiting for is now here. Today, it is our grit, our resilience, hope and unity that has given us strength. This has led to successes over the years and we look forward to what the future has in store.
