Resplendent Ceylon – COVID-19 Update
As COVID-19 continues to spread, we want to reassure you of the rigorous procedures we have in place to protect our guests and staff during this period.
At Resplendent Ceylon, the safety of our guests is our top priority and all three resorts follow a comprehensive protocol to ensure that high standards for hygiene and cleanliness are met. The resort teams are following the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization and local authorities, with measures in place across all resorts such as the enhanced disinfection of all hand touchpoints, the availability of hand sanitizer and extensive laundry sanitization across all resorts. Deep cleaning of all rooms and public spaces is done on a frequent basis and all housekeeping teams are trained and updated on the latest guidelines. We have requested that our staff do not travel abroad for the foreseeable future.
Temperature of guests visiting from countries that have had cases of COVID-19 are monitored upon arrival. Any suspected cases of the virus at the hotel will be alerted to the authorities as a matter of urgency, and quarantined from others until confirmed testing. An additional complete sanitization of the hotel will take place.
Sri Lanka has a strong public health care system and has followed a strict screening process at the Colombo airport, which is the only point of entry to the country. Closure of National Parks
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, all national parks will be closed from 15th March to 29th March. Therefore, we will be unable to provide game drives to Yala National Park or to any of the other parks in the country. At Wild Coast Lodge, we will be offering immersive nature walks and bike safaris guided by our team of rangers in the wilderness in and around the lodge. While we apologize for the temporary lack of game drives, our staff and team of rangers will use this opportunity provide you with some unique and intimate wilderness experiences while at the Lodge.
Health & Safety – Travel Flexibility
During this time, we are committed to offering you flexible booking options. All existing reservations and new reservations to stay until December 19, 2020 can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.
Every single member of the Resplendent team is committed to the safety of guests and will provide a seamless service to ensure that all guests have a safe and memorable experience. Any questions at all, please contact us reservations@resplendentceylon.com
We wish you good health and hope to see you soon.
