Unlike conventional hotel stays, none of the bedrooms at Ceylon Tea Trails have room keys, unless of course you’d like one. Since a key becomes one less thing to think about, you can relax fully: padding around in slippers, mixing a drink at the bar, or snuggling up on one of the cosy, fireside sofas. Bedrooms are kitted out with old-fashioned call bells, so you can request whatever you need from the comfort of your room; our team will be quick to oblige.
Room types span four categories: Luxury Rooms, featuring antique furniture, a king-size bed and an elegant ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and shower; Garden Suites, which benefit from a four-poster bed and a private garden; the Master Suite, with a spacious living room and an ensuite bathroom with twin sinks, a bathtub and walk–in shower; and the Owner’s Cottage at Dunkeld Bungalow, a 120sq m expanse set in its own one-bedroom bungalow, encompassing a living room, master bedroom and a spacious terrace with a private, heated hot tub.
Each of our bungalows is serviced by a team of around 20-30 members of staff, including a butler and executive chef. A dedicated butler service is available around the clock to ensure that no request is too much trouble. Guests are treated to traditional morning ‘Bed Tea’ to start the day in style.
